What are people using for exhaust in a Ls1 FC conversion?

these doesn't apply to only LS1 swaps, but any LS1 car. They benefit from having the most open exhaust possible unlike an LT1. A cutout will make as much power as any of the catbacks for these cars, basically go with something custom, dual 3in pipes maybe.

I went with 2.5" true duals w/ and h pipe. Used Borla XR-1 stainless mufflers also. Can be seen and heard here.......

flowmansters are not good for ls1 cars...Dynomax.



they work for 850rwTQ turbo ls1s, they work for you.

I was thinking about a second gen with a GNX motor....

 

umm...u can modify the hangers from a stock f body exhaust, but may take a bit of welding.. the stock y pipe is flat as can be, but it wont fit exactly under the tranny braces...



mine im going complete custom setup. i was thinking flowmasters but i guess not now...



if you do plan custom exhaust, definitlly make provisions for a huge cutout before any cats or anything.
