Fc 13b Into Fd?
#1
Ok this question has the potential to start some flames in my direction. If you feel the need to insult me, please just save that precious typing energy.
I want to know if it's possible to build an FC 13b such that it will bolt into an FD. Can I fit the FD rear cover on, use the FC counterweight, and FD flywheel?
I know the idea goes against most of you guy's principles, but thanks for any help you can give me.

If the FC motor is ported, then it would be okay.
Also, the front and rear counterweights MUST be off the same model rx7 i.e. FD, S4 FC, S5 FC. I'm not sure if the S5 FC and the FD are same though...
But yes, what you are talking about can be done. The first motor I ever built was similar to that. All the plates(front, intermediate, rear) were all the same. My e-shaft was FD, rotors were S5 FC. and counterweights were FD.
