That's a $100,000 motor.

They had some 1 piece ceramic seals for it...$300 a piece.
$3,600 is surprisingly cheap for seals in an engine that is worth $100,000

aren't they peripheral ported n/a?

peripheral ported??? you can see a pic of the intake, don't think that classifies as peripheral...
They are peripheral ported. The intake and exhaust ports are both in the periphery of the rotor housings.
thanks for clearing what's been cleared to me
I dont think there 100k. I mean, a 2 rotor is like 4k, a 3 rotor= 6k, I mean how much more can 1 extra rotor cost? 100k maybe what mazda claims its worth, but thats probably the engine that they put in ther sponsered car(or whatever you want to call it). I dont see a 100k . Just like someone posted above. 3600 is cheap for seals in $100k motor. It cant be.

yeah 100K seems pretty damn steep to me. and if the intake holes can only be 46mm and have to cause the engine to stall when its done, are the air ducts in the front for cooling of it all? seems like some pretty huge holes for only cooling.

why 3 spark plugs?
3rd is called 'Late trailing' plug. Apparently decreases fuel consumption.

LeMans Index Of Thermal Efficiency takes fuel use into account

I'm no expert or even a good listener...I just relaying what I heard on the tour of Downings ATL...

when they started racing these motors that what they said it cost...top of the line and custom made everything on the motor, not just the rotor housings and the rotors. I know I remember hearing the E-shaft is one tricky motha on these motors...

to get a 4-rotor putting out the most power with ALL the restrictions they have in these races...I doubt it can be accomplished with 10 grand

Yes those BIG *** ducts in the front are for cooling and I would guess down force???

you can see the air intake ports right behind the drivers head (two little silver holes - 2 on each side)

I know this is off topic, But in the Lemans GT class, You know the class with the touring cars such as Bmw M3, Porsche 911's, 360 Modenas, etc.

Im just curious if all those cars are N/A. If so what type of power do they put out?
