Might Wana use tii coils

 

yes...FC coils have been known to be better, but if they can handle 500+ hp on turbo REW's....they are just fine for my stock internally all motor reni. plus, they are still better than stock reni coils. so that makes it an upgrade.



also, i had them sitting there and are more compact for a better look. and only use one ignitor.

never drove it.just got the core in...but its almost like putting a earlier 13b in. no need to make custom mounts. so it would be much easier to put it in a 1st gen really...



i found out a datsun in PR is running a renesis with a modified Racing beat manifold and a holley 650, and even a 1st gen dizzy set up. made 236 to the wheels! damn good. some porting. but theres not much room for porting in these anyways.



so with a microtech and a the proper things to back it up. i should top that pretty easily...

 

236 to the wheels is retarded in a 1st gen...especially considering the lightness of that particular vehicle would be insane...

 

not a 1st gen. a datsun. most likely the same weight though. pretty sick for a carbed old school ignition set up too.



and for the last 5 years people have been hating on the renesis and even more so, believe the power only comes from its intake manifold. i been disputing this forever. so here your proof know it all haters...lol



wait a few years when people see what a few of us are doing with the reni's breaks out. and see what the real pros can do with them. i truly believe the reni is the best rotary to date... just give it time.

 

After reading the SAE paper on the MSP, I agree. Seeing it in relation to the rew (and 13b and TII due to the similarities) makes one realize how much the rotary engine is improving. Mazda puts a new one out and its improved by leaps and bounds. But I think people still have issues extending their knowledge of porting the old side intake ports to the exhaust ports. Since no one wants to break one since there are relatively so few and they haven't aged much yet, people are too scared to experiment. That's just a matter of time though before the creation of crazy power is understood, and I can't wait until the concept of an MSP with turbo is fully realized. A no overlap turbo rotary without a stupidly high compression ratio is going to put pistons to shame. Still, the demand isn't there yet, but once it is and us cheap-*** rotary folks are willing to buy the engines, things will get truly interesting.



Then we'll all be coveting swapping 16xs into our aging RX8s and FDs of course, and the cycle goes on!

 

oh man...if that 16x does ever come out. im taking a loan to swap out my reni (this one) for that one!
