Im not Replying as the real MazdaMike, im on his name. Im a friend with an Mr2. The ONLY scoop accually built for funtionality is the Do Luck scoop. It only works if u have a border SMIC.

In order for the toms, bomex and all the replica scoops to work you need a cascade of SPAL fans to help move the air. If u havn;t driven an Mr2 please dont act like u know something, ask and learn. And dont tell me to "Go read the Mr2 Board" im there everyday. Theres been direct Dyno testing with Scoops in pairs, singular and on either side to test its funtionality and basically it doesn;t do jack. Also they have brought an Mr2 into a wind tunnel and the pathway of air doesn;t even directy flow into the scoops. The Most air flowed into Do Luck, Then Toms, and Bomex didnt get air at all.

my friend still has his MkII and he passed on the scoops because he told me the same thing, waste of money, he shoulda done somethin else other than an integra taillight conversion (ricey)

Rip the trunk out, Get a 901 Trans from a 914 Porsche and a Kenedy adapter and it will fit. It will be centered and weight would be balanced.
