please i've been looking trielessly on the net and found only 2 pics! and no text on how to do it, please can someone offer me some tips and guidance? i need info ASAp cuz i'm not going with anything other than a 13bt, sr20's and CA18's and the RB series engines are GAY compared to a rotary!!!!!!!!!

Basically, youre going to have to get custom engine mounts, youre going to need everything from the donor rx7... motor, ecu, entire drive train, basically everything in the engine bay to make it work. while youre doing it might as well take out the rats nest and put in block off plates. as per a step by step, i wouldnt know ;P Oh yea, youre most likely going to have to make custom trans and differential mounts as well. Chances are the drive shaft is going to be too long, or too short and youll have to order a custom one. its not easy task man, and wont be cheap.

thanks man, sorry i'm not thinking right now, what do you mean block off plates? and another concern is will the shifter location fit with out having to do anything to the firewall? and what about my driveshaft? wont i need a custom one to work with the 13b tranny and the s13 diff? ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

you can expect the people on nopistons, to not be completely educated on the compatability of rotary engines and other vehicles. Yes you would need a custom driveshaft, and you might need to cut the floor where the shifter comes through, it probably will be off by a couple inches. You also need to make, or modify a cradle for the trans. Good luck on your swap.

I actually am in the process of looking up everything iI can for this swap too except I would like to use a 13B-REW engine instead. I hoping to find some help with this...

The custom driveshaft should no be a problem. once you have the 13b tranny mounted just take your old drive shaft. Cut off the yoke that go's into the S13 tranny. find out how much longer or shorter the driveshaft needs to be then weld a 13b yoke on to it..



Hopefully the driveshaft is to long. so you can just cut a chunk off and get the new yoke welded on. any local driveshaft/machine shop should be able to do it for you .. oh yeah you might want to get the new shaft straitend and balanced while your at it...

Well i guess i'm not the only one wanting to swap a rotary into a s13 .......

I want mine for drifting so i'll go for the 20b,turbo upgrade,intercooler and new clutch.........no internals..........PLEASE SOME ONE MORE PICS ON THIS SWAP!!!
