Ok ive been reading up the last couple of weeks, about 929's/Serenia(sp). And ive found a real nice 90 929S. And im curious if anyoen knows anywhere on the net or anyoen personally, that has factual info about the 13B swap. It has the same exact chassis as the Luces 929 which has the 13B T2 engine, but its only in japan. Is it a direct swap? Im just trying to learn about these cars for now. I would love to get one and give a shot at the swap. Ive heard of the 20B swap being possible, also but thats out of my league. So i wont even touch that. BUt does anyoe have any info regarding the 929's and a 13B swap?

I know that the 5speed tranny iin the 87-90? t929's is the same as the 2nd gen 7 tranny. And i was told that the drivetrain int he 929 was beefier than the 7's as well. And upon searching the site found that some use the brake master cylinder ( ) lol. But i really wanted to know if the Auto tranny in the 929's will go along with the 13B NA or Turbo. My conclusion was that seeign that the 929 comes with the T2 motor in japan, and it shares the same chassis. That it woudl be a direct swap along with the obvious accesories. My main concern know is Mounts-tranny. the 929 forusm arent much help, so i figured someone here could give me some info.

im thinkin:

929/rx7 tranny same?

929/7 might be alittle off b/c of the size of the V6 compared to the 13B.

Can anyone confirm any of this or add any? This would make one hell of a tax return project..

i KNOW the 929 engines have different engine mount brackets than the fc engines, i also know the 13bt/929 uses a different hood, with a duct for the intercooler. i think your best bet would be to find a front clip/import a whole car for the parts. they cant be expensive

yea all 929's were rwd.. which i didnt know until a month ago..every since than ive been readin up on them. Mounts and hood aitn that big of a deal. I heard that the cars are rare even in japan so it will prob be costly to get a clip..
