I have no experience with microtech, just a bad taste because the people on the forums selling microtechs are like car salesmen, full of ****.

I'd probably consider a microtech if I found one locally that was really cheap just to play with, definitely wouldnt buy it from one of the pushers on the forums.

for the money spent there pretty dam good units.

They also cater more to rotary's. Which is rare among other ecu's.

would you like to elaborate about your comment?

i only provide precise information, and try to help every user weather they purchased the ecu from me or not,

I had a friend that ran a Microtech with his T88 on an FD, my other friend is currently running his with a T66 no problems at all, he loves it. I beleive Siguel Racing's FD has the fastest E.T and MPH in the 1/4 mile and he's been running Microtech since last year.

Acosta Racing ( previously MVA ) ran 7.4 about 2 yrs ago in his MX-3 before he lost the car.

Damn, I sound like a salesman.

Jose Torres (The Siguel Racing Rx-7) of Puerto Rico ran the first 6 second 20B pass in P.R. with a 6.98 @ 199 mph in the spring of this year. Yes MVA ran his 20B on the Microtech.

Some people on the forums selling microtechs tend to attack other ecu's in their posts when pushing microtechs, touting 'features' of the microtech implying they are not present or worse in the others, when most of the time it simply is not true, or quite the opposite.

Nothing personal, I havent named any names, if you look at the popular forums and see the microtech vs world threads you might find what i'm referring to. I have yet to use a microtech, I have a E6K and I'm quite happy with it so far, microtech's may be great but like I said before, the people I've seen pushing on the forums have been way too used-car-salesman for me to give them my money.

Cheers.

I just had the MicroTech LTX-8 with bosch coils

installed last tuesday

and she runs GREAT!

Idles nice for a ported motor

and cranks right up

My tach signal is perfect

something I could never get running right with my old E6K (Haltech)

Tach bouncing followed by back firing

which I have seen tons of people with E6K's report of irradtic tachs

That was really my only problem with Haltechs

other then that the E6K is a nice computer

not to let turn into a Haltech vs microtech thread

Here's some media: might be up or down (server)

Microtech built in 2 step rev limitor

attached to clutch pedal sensor allows for preboosting at the line

http://24.233.133.17/2step.wmv

My car right after bringing her home after the install

Open downpipe

Had the exhuast system done yesterday

http://24.233.133.17/compressed.wmv

My friend Tim's TII

Microtech LTX-8

stock turbo

stock motor

greddy FMIC

17' wheels and plain toyo street tires

http://24.233.133.17/run2.wmv

all of these cars run a MicroTech

in this Pic {my car is not here}

The black integra with stock motor

T3/T4 at 12-14 PSI made 334 RWHP

on plain street tires with a 2.3 60FT (bad wheel spin)

ran 13.3 at 110MPH fridaynight
