what will an aftermarket eco do for me what sort of power am i lookign at gaining and waht els can i do with one and waht one should i buy??

 

Briefly, when the scope of your modifications has exceeded the stock ECU's ability to cope with them, you will need to buy an aftermarket ECU. Most commonly, they are required when you increase the amount of boost and need more fuel.

 

yes basically an aftermarket ecu will give you a couple of things.



1. its a lot faster processor, so the car will potentially run smoother



2. you can adjust fuel and timing to your engine, the stocker is setup for stock. you can basically get the same, or similar peak power from both ecu's but dont have to compromise the aftermarket ecu to do that like you would on the stocker.



3. the aftermarket ecu can get rid of the 15 year old engine harness
