Ok, so I am nearing the end of my 88 se project.

I am using the banzai adaptor and have everything all hooked up. The datalogit is plugged in to the PFC correctly. I turned on the igniton and check to see if the accseroies worked and what not no problem.

Didnt load in my map yet, so I figured I'd prime everything up. Pulled both EGI fuses and cranked the car to get the oil pressure up car cranks no problem.

Now I was stoked got my computer hooked up to the datalogit and tried initializing the pfc.

It said I haven't chose a COM port and asked if I would like to do it automatically.

I said yes and followed the instructions and it kept telling me to turn the ignition on and off and check the light on the datalogit and make sure it was on.

The light would NOT turn on w/ the ignition in the on position. i checked my connections all were good and tried agian light in box still wouldnt light up .

So I disconnected the datalogit from the PFC and hooked up the commander turned the ignition on and no display. Does anyone have any insight for me?

thanx

james

no it shouldnt matter, my pfc isnt grounded in my Fd. There is a ground wire in the ecu location that will need connected though (in the FD anyways) Did you reinstall the fuses you pulled?

PFC manual states

When the IGNITION KEY is ON...

does the FC-COMMANDER properly display data?

(LCD may turn black under hot conditions. the screen will return once he temperature cools down)

{If display does not function properly, please see your dealer of purchase for service}

so i guess i have to contact rhdjapan?

commanders are car specific. they might have mixed it up, maybe?

I dont think that is the case because his datalogit won't power on either. It sounds like either the PFC is not working, or somewhere along the line it isnt receivng power. maybe a wire, or fuse/relay, ground. The EGI fuse also must be connected in order for the ecu to power the commander or datalogit

ok so disconnected every thing that has to do with the banzai adaptor and PFC put the stock tII ecu back in w/ the trailing coils of my DD so its basically back in stock form went to crank the car and I have no spark to my leading or trailing coils, fuel pump works injectors are firing I see and smell fuel going out of the dp rechecked ALL fuses in car theyre good rechecked all my engine and emission harness wiring and connections all are correct but while under the dash on the driverside I saw a large connector not plugged in to anything so maybe I have somthing behind dash not hooked causing no power to ecu? I have to pull the dash the see where this connecter goes I'm hoping I just left something in plugged any more insight

thanx
