Looking for opinions and first hand experiences on standalone systems(microtech, haltech, motec, aem,f-con).Im looking for a user friendly system but also haveing variable tuning points.Just a lil background info 88 mazda se, 13b-rew,front mount, 1600 secondaries, 720 primarys, full rebuild(3mm apex seals, porting,e-shaft-cooling-oil mods)and custom 3'' exhaust.I would rather spend the money for a good qualite standalone rather than go cheap.

Thanks for the help

jake

i would say, repeating what has been said before, that the best stand alone is the one that you can get tuned locally. unless youre doing the tunning. in that case id got to each ECUs website and read up on it and, if possible, download a preview version of their software and "play" with it.

no. power fc requires a powerexcel authorized dealer to tune your car. unless you buy a dataloggit and then you can get a copy of the software.
