I have the haltech hooked up, and I have loaded a map on it. tried to start it, nothing, brought out the timing light and it didn't work for either coil. Verified that timing light works. Why aren't i getting spark?

no, sounds like the trigger huh, I checked it and it was wired wrong, and then I fixed it. Will double check it today. Wiring it wrong wouldn't ruin anything would it?

No it won't hurt anything. It just causes the car not to start.
