Ok I have a problem with the rpm signal when watching it in online mode. First I will say that I did do the base timing test with the timing lock on my lock is 12 deg. my trigger gain is @ 2. I cranked the engine with the spark plugs removed to check it as per. the book the pulses were pretty steady. Now the problem I'm having is this during cranking I read a steady rpm 625~650 (1200 with plugs out), when it fires off and runs on its own the rpm signal jumps to 5k to 7k and the ecu dumps fuel on the primaries. I believe the fuel dump is due to the high rpms.

I did the ohm check on the cas that the shop man. and all data tell you to do, it falls within spec (spec 110-210 ohms/cas 164-167 ohms). hoping someone will have an idea.

yup did that, I used the mazda method in manual line up the dot on the cas gear to the mark on the cas shaft..The car fires up just fine but once running on its own the haltech is reading 5k rpm to 7k's.
