hi all

i have a avcr boost controller and i was wondering if it is possible to patch the standard wiring loom into the apexi avcr map sensor so it will supply both the avcr and the power fc and dump the the factory map sensor or will i get false readings.

i would prefer to keep the avcr functions if possible and though this would save me buying another map sensor.

regards

chris

unplug the stock FD boost controller and plug the AVCR solenoid into the stock wiring harness. Then use the commander to control boost.

What are the advantages (or disadvantages) to using both a standalone (say PFC) and an aftermarket electronic boost control. I ASSUME just to use the PFC as a backup incase the BC dosent control things properly? I guess the question is, why buy an electronic BC, when a stand alone can do the same thing? More precise calibrations?

Kinda a dumb question I know, but something I've always been a tad bit curious about.

Sorry to stray off-topic.

You can't really "disable" the Power FC's boost controller. If you want to use the AVC-R as a display...do so by plugging up the solenoid into the stock harness and let the Power FC controll boost.
