i see its about half the price of haltech and microtech ECU's. but in the world of cars. you get what you pay for. i have seen it on quite a few cars. and the commander (little hand held tuner) is pretty nice. uner 700 for both. what do you guys think?

well what do you need it for? what are your current mods? are you planning on keeping this ECU in the car for good?

quite a few people have mounted those commanders in very-easy-to-reach-or-read places. I used to have one, and I liked the fact that I could look at the commander and see all the things I wanted too.

of course if you have a few gauges already (water temp, boost, fuel press, oil temp), then maybe you don't need a PFC.

you have to wire in haltech and microtech ECUs (which I'm sure you already know).

as far as I'm concerned, I think it just comes down to preference.

well my mods are front mount, HKS twin intake, 3 inch down pipe, w inch exhaust, fuel pump, canceled the smog pump with greddy kit. and a few cooling mods.

do you not have to wire in the apex-i ECU? is there a complete plug and play harness adapter? one thing i was wondering if the apexi ECU comes with a base map loaded. the haltech and microtech both do upon request. this would help with the tuning.

With a stock block the pfc will run fine as is . I have found the timing needs minor adjustments . To get the most out of pfc it is worth buying datalogit , but is not essential . Pfc is light years ahead of microtech . Haltech is good enough. Altronic is very good. Pfc plugs straight into factory loom. There is some issue with u.s loom , wire needs brigging or something.

i saw steve kan tune 4 apexi pfc's this weekend and it seemed that they worked perfectly for all near 400hp applications.

so i would highly suggest them for any FD.

nospig...you mentioned something about wire brigging? what do you mean? it sais at the site its supposed to replace the factroy ECU as if it were the stock FD ECU.
