Hey rikki, if you have a reasonably conservative 10 and 12psi map you'd like to compare... I'd love to compare them to the ones I got from Wade...

Haltech is much better and much more expensive to boot.

If you are going Haltech why not just get a real standalone like a TEC III which is the leading standalone IMO. Dave do some research before you open your cake hole.

First off Cryin he didn't ask about a Tech III. He asked which ecu upgrade was better , the purple box or the Haltech. Thats what I answered to. Was my statement false? No so why try to insult my input? You asked me to do some research yet you provide none to support your statement and even admit that it was your opinion. So which is it Ryan opinon or fact?

I know you are pretty good with the purple and were a tremendous help with mine. But what experience do you have with either the Tech III or the Haltech? Any real experience? Besides I never said that Haltech was better than Tech III did I?

So why the attitude with me for no apperent reason?

If you want to help great. If you want to flame go back to the other forum with the hate mongers ok?

And please check your ego at the door.

umm haltech is good.... but i would have to say the TEC III is better. the TEC III uses its own ignition but install is a bit more tricky..... i have experience with the haltech and purchased a TEC III but later sold it.... for the money TEC III is a great unit!

O.K so you have been bitten by Count Fagula Dave just busting you ***** a little and just saying if you are thinking about a haltek then you should really get a tec III for the simple fact that it has a ING system and Peter has tons of dyno hours in it with a program that will get your car up and running with just fine tuning only.
