So I was out last night driving around and after a good 2nd->3rd gear run, I put the car in neutral and coast like I always do, but then it died. I got it restarted but it wouldnt hold an idle. It just kept dying. Now before I continue, it is worth mentioning that my car is running VERY rich in the higher boost ranges. I was in the process of tuning it last night.

But anyways, now it wont idle at all unless I have my foot on the throttle just a little bit. Got it home and compression tested it to find 90-90-90 front and 90-90-90 rear. Not bad for a Jsepc engine thats two years old.

So I dont understand what my problem is here. It was idling GREAT before and now it wont do it, or barely does it ( 500rpm ). I checked the few hoses that I have and checked the integrity of all my sensors via the laptop and everything is fine.

Sorry if this is scatter brained...Its late and I just dont know what the problem could be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No BAC valve. Controlling my idle with the idle stop screw.

hmm, well maybe look at the plugs?

the wierd thing is the haltech is map based, so a vacuum leak will make it idle high, i'm having a hard time thinking of stuff that would make it idle low, what afr you have the idle set to?

Check the compesation maps. See if something got screwey. Like the coolant maps, ignition maps, see if there is something funny looking in them.

A popped hose to the Map sensor will do this too. What reading are you getting at idle for vacumm on the haltech engine data screen???

If the e6k is stuck in ignition lock at -5 it would creat the same affect too.

Did your throttle cable come loose? Thats what happened to mine. I would let of the gas and it would die.
