Okay I finally have everything hooked up. Any special startup precautions I should take? Like ATF in the spark plug holes?
Also should I setup the Haltech in Closed loop mode? I've installed a mixture trim control and have wired my 3 outputs (NOS, Electronic 6 Ports, Shift Light)... which brings up another question: Choosing the Dual Intake option to trigger the electric 6 ports give me a ON RPM and OFF RPM... I don't quite understand the OFF RPM. If it wasn't ON wouldn't they be OFF? Unless this is an OVERSPEED RPM switch? (I'm using 35lb Solenoids to PULL the 6 ports open via a RELAY via the Haltech. ) My motor hasn't been run in.... Oh say 18 months or so. It's a N/A 13B (Non Turbo) has a Header, 2-1/2" exhaust, K/N air filter, Dual Pulley, No pumps (Air, AC, or Steering). |
Closed loop control is only for fuel efficency. I wouldn't bother with it. A little ATF may help, but make sure that you crank the motor a few times with the ECU off(no fuel or spark) so that the motor can get some oil in it before it's started.

Get the motor running first and tuned. After all that is done then play with the little extras.
