An overlay of our RX-8 turbo kit on a baseline incomplete tune @ 11 PSI Vs. a stock configuration...

Run was only @ 60 percent throttle. Not a bad start...

haha!

The tune just hasn't been completed, its rough this was the first pull. After that we ran into some small issues unrelated to the turbo system and were in a pinch for time.

Is the boost climbing with the torque, or is that a result of the port timing of the renesis? What rpm does it reach 10 psi by?

Really nice numbers btw.

Yup nice numbers for an 8...

I have to ask why there is a 2000 rpm difference in the peak torque between the 2 graphs? Was the aux port not working, same dyno?

Peak torque on the renesis still low compared to reg 13b, if you could get the torque to track like the first graph, you might end up with lower overall hp but the flatter wider torque curve would add to the fun factor. Do you have control over the ports?

Boost stays flat at 10psi from 4k all the way to redline( aux ports open)

Short teaser video( old dyno footage)

Aux ports open vs closed. On this car we didn't have actual control of the aux ports, we will be changing this from now on. From here on out it will have the best of both graphs.

yeah that would make it more potent for sure.. You can sure see why lots of people swap out to super short(higher numerically) gears in the rear end in those cars..
