Just got back from Phoenix and had Steve Kan tune the Haltech. Its running soo much smoother now, and just blows the tires away after 4k RPM.

My setup:

E6K

Ported S5 block

T04E, 60 trim

550/1600s w/ Walbro 255 and Aeromotive FPR

The day did NOT exactly go great for me right from the get-go. Right away, it seemed as if the secondaries were not responding the way they should. The car was running really lean when the 1600's kicked in and we couldnt figure out why. So I sucked it up, called the local Ford dealer and picked up a brand new set of 1600's for list price. And guess what? Everything was great! The 1600's that ive had in my car for 4+ years are either defective or mislabled! What luck!!!

After getting it back on the rollers, we were still having problems at higher RPM, this time it was pressure drop. We stopped, I quickly re-wired my fuel pump on the rollers and that dramatically helped the pressure drop problems. Still, after 7k RPM, the fuel pump can't keep up. So, after each run we lifted after 7k.

After the final run, it made 389 at 12psi of boost. From the curve, you can see it makes gobs of power down low, and after 5k RPM the turbo cannot hold the psi. The dip in the curve is the turbo going from 15psi down to 12psi. 275 HP at 4,500 RPM is really impressive for me and it the car has some serious grunt down low.

Analysis:

Need a bigger compressor and more fuel. Now I just need to decide whether or not to run dual walbros or a bigger single pump.

if you dont go with vosko's setup, pm me and i can give you a list of pretty much everything you need to make a great fuel system to handle more HP then you'll probably be pushing.

my setup is dual walbros, dual BG 100 micron -8AN filters, SuperNow! Rails, Aeromotive FPR, and a -6 return. all Earl's Fittings and lines etc. I went with only -6 at the rails for now, which should handle at least 700hp, so I've been told, possibly more. You could do it cheaply with using summit line and fittings probably more then half the price of my all earl's setup (the line alone cost $300, the fittings cost a ton too)

only problem is finding good fc rails other then stock....but i think keith makes FC kg rails which would work. mine are JDM madness, go SuperNOW! haha.

but nice runs, your car has it all.

also, what FPR are you currently running? stock? if so you could try just swapping in an aftermarket one first and see how that goes. of course you might as well just do the whole system in one shot, its faster. and prettier.
