Steve Kan tuning day...he's as good as advertized! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683894.gif
Looking at the plot of when he lifted, I think I could have eeked out a bit more to redline. Next time I guess I have to be better prepared. http://encompass-tech.com/photogallery/DynoPull_06-03-26.wmv]Vid of one of the runs[/url] 1/2 Bridgeport - new housings Custom VMIC SR Motorsport Ultimate Radiator CWR Dual Oil Cooler KG Parts 756/1680cc Injectors Doug Rippie Motorsport Bosch Fuel Pump AN-10 Supply/Return Fuel Lines A-Spec GT40R Kit w/ Turbonetic Newgen W/G A'PEXi PowerFC w/ Boost Option Kit 4" K&N Intake Custom Midpipe A'PEXi GT-Spec Catback - sundry other items Note:- - Car had massive fuel pressure drop (Steve suspects wimpy oem wiring to pump) - Boost controller was not working (operated on w/g spring pressure - 10#) - 94-Oct pump gas |
u know, if you connect the 2 airbag wires together with some sorta resistance, a resistor or 1 whole wire to 1 strand of the other wire) the light will stop blinking.
nice chart by the way. car sounds great too. whats your exhaust set up, i didnt see any smoke. |
that torque curve is weird? boost creep ?
|
Sounds clean. Enjoy. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

Vosko: To be honest, I don't understand what the curve means other than it's purdy and the number is not bad. Steve can prolly tell you what is right and wrong with my car.
Treceb: I have the MazdaSpeed hub with the resistor. The SRS light blinks cuz when I repainted the engine bay, the painter decided the airbag sensors were useless since I don't have the airbag anymore. Trouble is, without the sensors attached, the warning lights get all happy. Easier to pull the bulb...except for a lazy azz like me. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png Exhaust is just a midpipe to A'PEXi GT-Spec catback. Nothing special. FD3Boost: Thx...I'm hoping to enjoy a little bit although the process is a bit more trying than I had anticipated. Mebbe by summer we can get Steve back and I'll go for broke. |
Vosko got it right.... It was boost creep from 10psi to 14psi at higher rpm. I think it should stay at 14psi pretty well though which is why the torque climbs vs. rpm.
I think that at 14psi, the car made pretty descent hp considered the amount of time everyone spent getting everything up to par. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png I wish I still have dibs on the wheels and brake kit. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

So many ready to pounce on the weak. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif I think everyone at the dyno put dibs on something in case I did give up...still thinking about it. |
