Everyone has seen it by now. My old dyno sheet at 12psi and stock injectors, still tuned rich back then. Temps were at 85F. Air was dense. I needed more fuel (INJECTORS) to tune it up more. Did that and have not dyno'ed since. It ran with pretty even with Kyle with his GT35/40 at the local track. The time slip, I am car 868! Need rear tires!

With a Datalog graph of the run (why doesn't everyone do it?)

#869 redlighted, and you were almost .3 over the ideal reaction time and it was still close...who was in the left lane, just out of curiosity https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png.

Also that is a great chart on stock turbos and stock block....nice job.

vosko 01-15-2003 11:19 PM

i've seen it before but still nice!

lane_change 01-15-2003 11:32 PM

I assume that is Kyle, aka, nocab72 in the left lane. Was it a Pro tree or a Sportsman tree. If it was a Pro tree than Kyle cut a great light, if it was a Sportsman tree than he Red-lighted.

Nice times for your car, good 60'. I thought Kyle would be alot faster, is this with his old motor?

l8t apex 01-16-2003 09:23 AM

I couldnt get that number out of my stock turbo and not even my single with stock engine @ 14 psi. I dont get it.I know I have somthing wrong. Also give some tips on that 1.9 60ft and your tires.

you did awsome!

1Revvin7 01-16-2003 10:48 AM

wow nice #s.

Badog 01-16-2003 02:30 PM

Thank you.

I must admit that the 60' were lousy...we were running on COLD ET Streets!!! Both Kyle and I.

That was with his stock block and his GT35/40 single.

There is a huge 115meg vid of us, which at the tail end has about 6 of our runs. Kyle's quickest time was like a 12.1. I kept missing 3rd, or bogging off the line. That run Kyle and I both left at about 7K.

If I can figure out how to edit a video, I'll post the tail end of that video.

1Revvin7 01-16-2003 02:39 PM

got a vid, nice.

lane_change 01-16-2003 02:40 PM

You need to teach Kyle how to drive then. Didn't he dyno at 430rwhp@15psi or in that area? I would think he should run at least low-mid 11's with that kind of power and ET streets.

Badog 01-17-2003 08:17 AM

Nah, that was his stock (weak) block when we went to the track. There is NO way to hang with Kyle since he put in the Pineapple motor. I mean, it's scary fast when the car pops a squat and goes! It is the fastest Rx-7 I have been in.

We were both learning how to drive that day. He was more consistent. I kept missing 3rd gear. If I can figure out how to trim a 115 meg video to the last 16 minutes, you'll see what I mean. Kyle is a better driver...since he underwieghs me by at least 100 lbs! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

i can host a 115mb video no problem https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

I love watching fast street RX7's race, they just look so mean when they accelerate. One of my favorite videos that I have seen was a 10.7 sec RX7 vs. a 10.8 sec 240SX. I thought it was going to be a close race the whole way but the 240SX was powered by a Turbo KA motor and absolutely left the FD at least 3-4 cars back right at of the hole and then FD had to play catch up, that was great watching a 10 sec FD reel in that 240 and beat him by .1 sec. I'll host it if I can find it. What about Jason's car? Has he got it running yet? I know last time his motor popped on him, I wasn't sure if he has ever got it back yet.

TOOO much torque on the old Eagle F1 Steels. A set of Nittos will be ordered, then I'll see what real tires can do. I would not be surprised to get 1.9s out of them. Since I did so bad with the ET Streets (did not warm them up enough).

i ran 13.0 on kumho 712's even warmed em up

i made no changes except tires and ran

12.0!!

tires make a huge difference... need tuning!

Badog 01-19-2003 11:00 PM

I tuned for maxium low end torque. I have not seen that much torque (down low) from similarly equipped FD. Once the new street tires go on, I'll adjust accordingly. The old streets paid with their skin.

Never done tuning, never done modding.
