What does a stock RX7 with a 13B TII run for horse and 0-60 time if anyone has info on it, also what would be the best, buying a 1993 TII and dropping about 4 grand or so in it or buying a R1?

Are you talking aboutthe 93 twin turbo or are you talking about the 89-91 turbo 2? There is a difference so please specify.

 

The 1993 Twin Turbo

 

I believe brand new in 93 they came with 250 hp to the flywheel on the manual trans car and 255hp on an auto car. Just some info the TII models was made from 86-91 in the states and is the turbo model ofthe 2nd gen rx7. From 93-95 the car is identified by the particular package it has. Example:

R1= 93 only sport package

R2= 94-95 sport package

touring= 93-95 luxury package

base= 93-95 basic stuff.

I have read that stock the 93 R1 ran a 13.7 second quarter mile. I can't remember the trap speed..

 

sounds about right, with my stock t2 i ran 14.5 ... so a 3rd gen should run in the mid 13's

 

i say low 13's with stock properly running 3rd gen and excellent driver.

 

The 86 TII Factory specs were:

0-60MPH: 6.7secs

1/4 Mile: 15.2 Secs

 

i thought it was a 13.5 for the fd. anyways mid 13's sound about right

 

i thought they did make TIIs in 86. they started in 87 or 88
