how much whp does an FD need to do a 10 sec pass, or break into the 130 mph range?

i'm more interested in the 130 mph than the time because to get an RX7 to hook means that i'll break stuff.

i already broke one rear end on drag radials and i only had 360 whp.

tell me what you guys think

pending on other factors...

id consider the range of high 400s for the speed pass....

i would tend to think mid to low 500s with the time...

check for some horsepower calculators....

i think at around 470-500whp you should gurantee 10 sec time slip with slicks.

Pete at XS has right about 500hp at the wheels, and they are doing consistant 10s.

I think 450rwhp would do it with slicks.Just need to know your car well. That and shifting.Shifting is everything when it comes to racing.

You can do a 10.1 on 540 RWHP.

With 450 and some slicks/ET streets you can dip into the 10's consistantly if cut nice 60 foot times.

To break 130 your going to prob need around 500rwhp.

Vosko, we know you can do it - but you have to get ALL the way down the track, in the same car, with no pit-stop.
