Got 1/4 mile times last night

Well matt :
the altitude at the wall is bad
you got poor traction.....look at your 60' (take that Yoko at Scott's house)
the stock car ran about a 15.1. you turned up the wick but didn't adress the fact that you still had both cats on there. that monolithic converter is horrible. you're just putting more strain on your turbo. You should fare a lot better with your 3" DP, and get rid of that cat. No one checks in Abilene.
Let us know how it goes next time. with that new aluminum TID and DP. Mid 14's shouldn't be a prob. My best time there was only a 13.92 and i only pulled 13's off twice. never ran it with the flywheel though. Most of the time i ran 14.01 It's a shitty track, but it's all we......no YOU have. BTW there's an 1/8 mile track down the road from our house here, and a 1/4mile 54 miles away. oh yeah humid is better than hot dry air, which is what you mostly have in San Angelo

Hell no I don't want to post these sorry *** times there. Johann the cats are all gone now.. I retained them just in case I need them for an emissions test sometime in the future. Where it that tire? John's house or Scott's house? I would like to get so I can put them all on sometime soon. thanks.

Got to love turbo cars! So easy to crank up the power!
Dont worry man just some exhaust work and you will feel a good gain.
By the way my first pass which is over a year now I only faired 14.8 at 96 I believe... cant remember my 60 ft but lets just say it could of been a lot better!
Practice and some exhaust work.
But still even a 15 flat will take out a considerable amount of cars. **** to be honest you would be right next to me for a long time in a race. Though to be honest you would probably kick my *** off the line.. haha
But anyway good luck! And wish I had a turbo RX7!! AM about ready to sell this damn GT just for a shot at an 84 RX7...

To anyone who has a TII: How do you launch it off the line? Usually I just slide my cluth out at about 3300rpm and I get a small squek and go. Is there a better method? Also when dragging I usually don't bring my car past 6200rpm cause the power feels like it levels off (???).
7mech, those numbers are still respectable as long as you beat the talon.

Thanks Spike. You really shouldn't ride your clutch when luanching the car. If you continue to ride it like that it will wear out really fast. I usually just launch at 3700rpm. When I launch I just dump the clutch. Yes I get more tire spin, but my clutch lasts alot longer. Also I get alot of tire spin b/c my tires are crappy.
