Well.. all I can say about my driving today.. it sucked!! Today was my first time ever racing anyone and ever racing on a drag strip.. This is a 1/8 of a mile strip.. My car is bone stock, expect for my newly installed M2 intake box and C's short shifter.. I used my Pirelli(sp) P8000 street tires with stock wheels.. That damn tree thing screwed me up bad my first try.. I didn't even get a slip for that one. I couldn't understand how it worked until I was up in the stands watching all the pro dragers.. so.. that may have contributed to my sucky times.. My 60'ers really sucked..

Here's the slip.. but my dumbass can't figure out how to magnify it..

What were you driving? I pulled a 10.25 my first time, with a .502 light.. Tell me that I'm not a lucky SOB. I got a bye on my next round too. haha that was damn funny.

Were you in the first, second, or third gen>?

This was in my FD. My Reaction Time sucked.. I'm not too sure if that means anything to my 1/8 times.. My 60' times sucked really bad.. I launched between 3K-3.4K each time.. I don't know if that was a good enough rpm to launch at or not.. but my tires are just regular street tires.. so, I wasn't sure what they could handle..

Your RT doesn't effect your times. Next time try launching at a higher rpm. If you got the ***** to do it, you can even try the Vosko 7k launch. I had the best luck with my AE launching around 5k. And I had good luck just dumping the clutch. Feathering it would give me shitty 60', and the yummy smell of toasted clutch.

Ok, so.. I'm gonna try it ak 5K.. but what kind of tires did you have on your AE when launching at 5K? Yea, my 60'ers sucked bad... I guess I should try just dumping it next time..

you might want to hook a boost gauge up to your car and make sure you are getting normal boost pattern. even with your bad 60ft times your mph seems really low for a stock car. what rpm were you shifting at?
