I finally drag my *** out to do some test and tune tonight after putting my car off racing for over a year.

I have done a few changes since last year.

Beta Tranny (currently testing)

T80 Turbo

new ignition system

rerouting my wastegate to atmosphere

Boost was around 26-27psi along with a 75shot of N2O

My first pass was a 6.49@111.44mph. That was with a 1.62s 60' time.

My second pass was a 6.55@109.84mph. That was with a 1.62s 60' time also.

I was happy with the result since my a/f ratio is around 10.5:1 and I'm still learning how to launch with the new tranny. The tranny is definately working well but I think the 1st gear is way too tall to get a good launch (not sure if I was spinning tires or clutch?). Since I'm still running my 8.5lbs flywheel, I have plans to put my stock flywheel back in and see if I could carry the torque at a lower rpm and see if I could regain my usual 60' time (1.40s).

Based on the slips, I should be trapping around 144-147mph in the 1/4 mile with the current setup at full stock weight (3000lbs with me in it).

I think with some fine tuning and some weight reduction, I should be able to run mid to low 9's or even 8's??? I guess I need to start investing money for a parachute soon! LOL

Outstanding! I take it this in a 3rd Gen? What ECU are you using?

No he's not. That is Steve Kan. He owns an FD fully modded street legal drag car. He's running an E6K. That car is wicked. He took me for a ride in it last time I was up and let me just say that anti-lag is a cool thing. Nice times Steve. Good luck on the rest of the tuning.

Does "beta tranny" mean manual or automatic?

Steve,

If your trapping 145mph, weighing at 3000lbs, you would be around a 9.80 pass, unless you took a lot of weight out. In any case, look foward to seeing you race again. What class are you goin to race in?
