Hey - I am new here actuall I lost my link to this site and now have bookmarked it. So I'll be posting more here. I have a 87 TII with full exhaust RB and Apexi / Mariah intake / 720cc secondaries / S-afc / T04E/ Profec B / Full racing suspension / 9.5# Flywheel and ACT clutch

I really built this car to Autocross and I run 3° negative camber @ all 4 corners. When I ran this I had 2° rear camber (with my height lowered this is as little camber as I can get). I am not a 1/4 track racer but I nneeded to do this to shut up a friend of mine with a Roush 360R mustang. Its a blown Mustang putting out 360 hp and 385 lbs torque. He was talking a lot of smack about his $40K car so I told him to show up at the track for a little timeslip comparison. He didn't show. Here is my timeslip from that night.

Remember I have a 9.5# flywheel its not the best for 1/4 mile.

Honda----------ME

S2000

1.190 - r/t - 1.025

2.422 - 60' - 1.953

6.730 - 330' - 5.472

10.139 - 1/8 - 8.387

71.89 - MPH - 83.83

13.030 - 1000 - 10.938

15.477 - 1/4 - 13.086

91.82 - MPH - 105.63

BTW- I destroyed to S2000 twice!! He ended up next to me both times. He changed lanes after the 3rd run. I think he was getting tired of looking bad.

Here is my Dyno slip when we tuned in the T-04e.

(hope it shows up)

see that shows that unless you really know how to drive getting 13's out of an s2000 are highly unlikely. nice times for a t2

90_GTU_jeremy 09-08-2002 06:45 PM

oh i cant really read the sheet.. was was your max torque and hp?

Jims5543 09-08-2002 06:52 PM

This was at 9 lbs of boost on the dyno.

Max RWHP 242

torque 195

I ran 10 lbs for the 1/4 mile.

BTW I have 60 lbs of compression on my rear rotor. So its time for a rebuild. I cannot wait to see how much I pick up.

Thanks for the props guys. I knew when I came off the line that it was a fast run the car eally launched. I was using my Autocross tires in the rear. I had my 255-40-17 Victoracers running 18 lbs of pressure in them.

The Nitto Drag radials (treadwear rating 100) are actually less sticky than the Vitoracers (treadwear rating 50).

I tried to point out to my friend that I was running these times with a 9.5# flywheel it was really hard to launch it good.

Here is a pic of my compression test done right before that dyno. This engines days are numbered. I keep Autocrossing it and hope it holds together until I rebuild it.

Jims5543 09-09-2002 08:12 PM

I thought I would post this in case any of you guys have never seen a real compression test before. There aren't too many places doing this anymore. :(

Hopefully with the RX-8 more places will start to equipe themselves with better tools.

we can only hope ! your car should be an easy low 12 second car witha fresh engine and street port!
