75% of them can't even read a ruler correctly... atleast that is what I noticed at sheridan college. People just randomly take my nice mitutoyo digital mircometer and vernier caliper without asking if you lend it to them once. How hard is it to read a caliper the old fashion way? If you want to be quick then get your own ******* digital measurement tools Those ******* things aren't cheap I don't want some dumb *** dropping it.....
I had to have my digital micrometer recalibrated by my company the last time I lent it out.

i have noticed the same, they drop it on tables and such, i almost got in a fight one time, because i was borrowing a dial vernier off a buddy and the clown never asked and took it when i had the slide locked.

oh and my mitutoyo is fucked... I think the idiot used it and got the thing wet in the cutting coolant. Now lately the readings jump all over the place from -999 mm to +999 mm. My wasn't the nice waterproof ones
