Since I notice there are a bunch of engineers here and also techies.
Lets compare and come to a correlation between discipline. Graduate of: Years of experience: what you hate: what you like: job description: Who knows, we could start a network together and possibly work together someday. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif |

Truck and Coach Technician Apprentice WOO
I'm a big truck mechanic |
entering 3rd year of study of B.A.Sc. in Computer Engineering (Honours), at the university of ottawa.
if i make it to 4th year i'll probably specialize in computer systems (architecture). i originally applied for Mechanical engineering...then switched. don't know why exactly. so far i've worked 2 (non co-op) summer work terms for atomic energy of canada (government), and i've actually been offered to "apply" here for after graduation. good reference letters from this place too https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png that's what i'm doing right now, sitting here wasting time on the internet though. bad thing is it's about 2 hours northwest of ottawa. so far away from other rx-7s, or if i ever want to get **** off people for my car...only rotaries are a few RX-8s, but unfortunately they all seem like pricks... hate: the 2 more years of school i have to endure. not having enough time and money for the car like: the possibility that in a few years i WILL have the time and money for the car - Aaron |
Funny how many of you are into computers and I do this car/truck thing as a profession
But you guys do it too as hobbyists! |
go for it feds. You could have them draw up rx7 parts then have the students machine it as part of their curriculum (s https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif p?) |
75% of them can't even read a ruler correctly... atleast that is what I noticed at sheridan college. People just randomly take my nice mitutoyo digital mircometer and vernier caliper without asking if you lend it to them once. How hard is it to read a caliper the old fashion way? If you want to be quick then get your own ******* digital measurement tools Those ******* things aren't cheap I don't want some dumb ass dropping it..... I had to have my digital micrometer recalibrated by my company the last time I lent it out. |
i have noticed the same, they drop it on tables and such, i almost got in a fight one time, because i was borrowing a dial vernier off a buddy and the clown never asked and took it when i had the slide locked.
ignorant people and precision tools make me cry. |
oh and my mitutoyo is fucked... I think the idiot used it and got the thing wet in the cutting coolant. Now lately the readings jump all over the place from -999 mm to +999 mm. My wasn't the nice waterproof ones
I'm on the look out on ebay for another cheap never used mitutoyo. |
yeah if i see some one use my mic at school they die, the vernier not so much.
