Did you do your own job? Cause i just did some reading and everyone says it was the worst task at hand!! on Rob Robinettes site they say its not something to tackle for the light hearted

I did the FC myself, wasn't a hard job at all, of course an FD is a little more involved but it's the same basic principle, I don't see why you couldn't do it yourself.

The only hard part is getting at them phillip screws. I strip two of them and had to use the good ol' hammer and cold chisel!

Other than that take your TIME! taking those old hard brittle vaccum hose. Mine was like hard plastic and not rubber anymore.

I twist them hoses and spraying some WD-40 before I pull it off. Never broke any nipples on any solenoids. I ended up with the one that canadian tire sells.

let me know if you need help

TYSON 06-14-2004 11:08 AM

Yah, the worst part is breaking the nipples off the solenoids.

Removing the emmissions stuff at the same time ensures you have plenty of spares for the turbo control ones. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif
