I know it is still a very long time but this section of the forum is dead anyways.

I WILL NOT SPEND TIME AND MONEY SETTING UP ANTHER MEET!

every year, my wife and I would run the route, plan it, write it, spend about 2 full tanks of gas etc....

Last year mazdabation was kind enough to help.

So this year if any of you are expecting another meet, I hope someone would step up and host it.

For me and some of the local guys, we drive these roads mostly late at night and early mornings. So for us there is really nothing special. On the other hand, the out of towners do look forward to driving the route every year and the fact that it does change yearly.

So let's hear it

I WAS PLANNING A MEET IN MY AREA ON JULY 8TH WEEKEND

I HAD A GREAT TIME LAST YEAR, BUT THE GETTING LOST AND STUPIDITY OF HIGH SPEEDS WAS REDICULOUS. SO UNLESS THAT CHANGES I WILL NOT BE RETURNING.

And do you think the ridiculous speeds and people getting lost wont happen at your meet??

You cant make people happy, if your meet is slow and unorganized people will bitch it was borring, if people are fast, the rest will bitch it was out of hand!!

In all honesty Rich, I dont really believe/want to do night runs. With all the candle power you can get your still not gonna see that deer etc run out in front of you. We all know there is tons of wildlife on the escarpment.

Now as for the day run and breaky, im in. Been doing that for years on sundays with the bike, was an annual sunday thing. Start the roads around 10 and have brunch after.......

Shawn it just people hot ******* it, sure you may have a fast car awesome! but 200km/s plus is dumb when travelling with a group of people...

This being said, for our meet there will be at least 3 guys that know the route, on leading doing 120 max, one in the middle and one at the end. just to try and keep people together, not to mention the week end it was on was a bad choice, being a long weekend and all.

I am not blaming you guys at all it was an awesome meet, i had a great time for sure, and i am looking forward to another meet.

the night run idea would be cool i think, most of us have loud *** cars and deer stay tyhte hell away, i have found this out first hand in the beater and the rx7, but people driving highspeeds+turns+darks= some ones gonna get hurt.

I'm trying to get moved out onto the peninsula. Know of any openings for a mechanical engineer? If I'm out there, I'd love to help out/plan. So, find me a job in St. Kitts/the falls, and I'll do it.
