Hey guys.

I've lurked around here long enough. I'm sure there's a few of us who keep checking this forum and not seeing anything new.

Who else keeps an eye on the No-Pistons Canadian Forum?

mr.zoom 10-20-2003 11:58 PM

defprun 10-21-2003 10:05 AM

I just posted the other day on the...thread.

LOL! One thread dude! Now, this is the second. WOO!

SpecialT 10-21-2003 10:54 AM

I kick through here every now and then. . . .

ColinRX7 10-21-2003 06:49 PM

Where in Canada are you guys from? (Guys who haven't listed a location)...

SpecialT 10-22-2003 12:42 PM

I'm in Barrie.

I pass through Brantford every now and then,

I've got some family down that way.

Whooaa, never thought I'd hear anyone admit THAT! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

SpecialT 10-22-2003 03:50 PM

Common! You live in London, you're right there!

Besides, every family needs a raging acoholic that can drive a combine,

knows how to use a pitch fork, and thinks big rubber boots are formal wear!

https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

ColinRX7 10-22-2003 05:10 PM

What do you drive, SpecialT?

TYSON 10-22-2003 05:34 PM

I lived in Brantford for almost 2 years. One of the guys I worked with had an interesting theory...

"If you see a good looking woman in Brantford, go talk to her. She'll be happy to talk to you, because she's probably lost and looking for directions out of town!"

I was unable to disprove this theory... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/dry.png

Other than the alcoholic, you just described me and my family! Although cowboy boots displace rubber boots for anyone from West of Ontario. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

mr.zoom 10-23-2003 12:05 AM

I have a good friend that wants me to move to Brantfrod.....but for now I'll stay in St. kitts.

Is Brantford generally a boring town???

TYSON 10-23-2003 12:46 AM

Where is St. Kitts? (other than the Carribean)

I thought Brantford sucked, other than I lived in a really nice old house with some great roommates.

ColinRX7 10-23-2003 09:43 AM

Yeah it's pretty boring.

I find myself in KW more than in Brantford. But I don't mind Brantford that much.

I actually live 10 minutes north of Brantford in a small town.

TYSON 10-23-2003 11:22 PM

My car was consistantly broken this year.

Actually untuneable, thanks to Haltech https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/angry.png I intend to come next year if I can.

defprun 10-24-2003 08:09 AM

Hey Rich! How's the FD?

Hey Rich!

You had me fooled.

I hope you like my GXL come spring, I've got quite a following of parts purchased and parts I still need to get, but I need some downtime to put it all in.

Hopefully (should I get the main part of the body painted in time) it will be all complete for May '04.

...and the stock ECU won't be controlling my fuel either. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

Still, seeing the same (rough size) turbo I work with on a daily basis on our 14.9L CAT engines slapped on a 1.3L 13B-REW is probably the coolest thing I have ever seen.

Anytime you need a hand, let me know. I got mechanical skill, just lacking a bit of experience with the REW. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

mr.zoom 10-24-2003 10:42 PM

FD is still running fine... the car drives a lot better with the profec b controlling boost.

I have to finish my winter beater, since I sold my white one. for now I'll drive the FD and enjoy. cross my finger about snowing....

How the **** do you drive in 30 feet of snow?!?! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/ohmy.png https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/ohmy.png https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/ohmy.png

Speaking of driving in snow, the Diesel Jetta's getting rally style headlights, a 'roo' bar in the front, some yokohama winter tires, a winch and a redtop battery...along with stainless fuel and coolant lines. This thing is gonna be the most reliable car ever. No power, tank reliability. Eventually...

mr.zoom 10-28-2003 04:47 PM

wow two pages already

colin it is under "final meet" thread

ColinRX7 10-28-2003 05:42 PM

Eh I don't think I can make it to that one. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/sad.png

I shouldn't be driving too far with the exploded heater core in my cavalier anyways. I bypassed the core because of the explosion and now I got no heat! I haven't found much time to fix it, but I bet if I'd just stop posting, then I would.

We should have a go-kart meet at some point in mid-november. What do you think?

I know I'll see some of the usuals at the winter auto-x events..

ColinRX7 10-28-2003 05:43 PM

And yes I will finally prove that my cavalier is good at SOMETHING when I take it to winter auto-x.

YOU GOING DOWN TYSON!

92 HP OF FURY!

TYSON 10-28-2003 05:48 PM

I don't autocross the Intrepid.

It's not mine and it wears tires too fast. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/BURNOUT.gif

She can go in the snow if you get some chains for her and a 10" lift! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/ohmy.png
