what about properly torquing it back? just set the gun to 400 and be done?

So far I have not seen any jack stands that could raise up the car 18" +

The manual says between 290 ft-lbs and 400 ft-lbs. Just hit it in forward until it stops moving... Do a couple of short burts, not a long blast with the impact. It should be between 290 and 400 at that point.



In terms of getting the flywheel off, put the flywheel nut back on for the first couple of threads. Get a huge peice of firewood and start smashing it against the flywheel. The firewood won't scar or dent the flywheel. That's it. Done.

No pics, but the exterior is [DONE]. So is the engine work and the wiring. I've also got the 300zx seats in, and some other little touches.



So, Dash goes in tonight. Then the interior. I've still got to make the panels for the rear speakers, but that's a day's work tops. Should be on the road by monday (sans stereo).

10:40 PM. dash wiring finished and tested. Everything works. To get the S2 dash into the S3 requires drilling 2 holes and blocking 2 air vents, both of which are done.



The clock out of the parts car doesn't work, but I am modifying my S3 clock to fit. Another little custom touch. thought about finding an analog one, but I have no idea where to look.



So, there is nothing stoping us from having the car done by Sunday night. Hopefully the plates show up soon, and we can get 'er on the road.



Who's up for a cruise?
