Nz 4 & Rotary Nationals
#1
Over the weekend we just had NZs largest import show and drag event, with the show taking place on Friday and Saturday and the drags on Sunday.
Managed to get to the show on Saturday which was ok. Didn't seem to be as good as last year but the level of the cars here in NZ just don't seem to be anywhere near what I've seen through attending some of the Autosalons in Aussie ( you guys sure know how to do 'em). Our local FD club joined again, which I unfortunately missed out on (my car is still getting stuff done). Here are a couple of pics though:

Didn't make it to the drags on the Sunday unfortunately. There where a few personal bests broken and there was our first rotary engine powered car to make it into the 8s (an FD, but only into the 8s you say? We're abit behind you Aussies and the States in this area.)
I did mention fire. Well unfortunate because the drag racing scene here in NZ is well underfunded our only dragstrip here in Auckland still requires that you park your car in a paddock (or field) because there is no concreted carpark. Well paddock grass or hay and exhaust don't mix and this is the result. There's a short video there too.
