Jamboree Time!!
#1
Hey all, wooffinn here. Just a quick note for all my global and Oz rotor brothers out there. The Fast Fours, VW's and rotories Jamboree is coming up on the 21st of September. It's the 13th Jamboree this year and is now the largest one day event in Oz of its kind. Show and shine ,sound offs and the bikini contest is actually 'offical' this year. The main part of course is the drags with the fastest rotors and fours in Oz. I've heard there's about 30 cars going for the 8 second shootout this year. If anyone is interested in coming over, the event is held at Willowbank raceway, which is about hour and a half from my place. I've got a couple of spare beds at my house, so if you're a true rotor nut, drop me a Email. I've been to all 13 Jamborees[thats showing my age a bit!!] and they're a great day out . B)

Hey All, the Jamboree was fanbloodytastic!! The cars were great , the women were far too hot and the racing was furious. Unfortunatly there was a number of oil downs so the racing wasn't on all the time. The pass of the night belonged to one of the pac performance Rx-3's running 7.888, just missing Archie's from Mazfix time[who had a parachute failure and then a front of car failure]. Certainly the most impressive wheel stand had to belong to the rotary powered Ford Cortina of Queen ST performance which actually managed to be vertical to the track. He obviously put a lot of oil down when it hit the track, certainly the only breakdown of the night the crowd approved of.
As I get more offical times/speeds of the event, I'll post them here.
