Hey guys. Just put in my new fuse, so I was real excited because I haven't driven my car in 5 weeks! Start it up and not only does it idel like I have a bridge port but its this extremely loud wining noise coming out of the engine bay. It sounds like a bad alternator wine but it seens to be coming from the turbos. Is that possible? FYI I just put the intake manifold throttle body ect. back on a few days ago. I drove it briefly when I pressed on the gas pedal the noise went away, but when I let off it was very audible. Anyone have any ideas?

Bingo Amp! At first I thought it might be the air pump but the connectors are duck tapped together, so it couldn't be that right? Wrong, I disconnected them and the car ran the same then I put them back together and it still runs the same. So I guess I need a new air pump. Damn car...

I've actually had that happen to me too.

You might also check to see if the upper intake manifold is tightened down all the way. The vacuum leak will sound like a high pitched whine and will cause a high lumpy idle.

I had my air pump go on me too. It was exactly what you are describing. It goes away when you are accelerating, but as soon as you let off or sit there at idle it makes that noise. Thankfully I didn't have to worry with emissions like you do so I just took all that **** off!! Laterz.

I had a loud noise like that when I forgot to reground the UIM. It's coming back now that my grounds are corroding like a mother ******.

Does anyone know where I can buy ring connectors for 6 guage wire online? I've been to about 7 hardware stores around Kingwood, TX and none of them carry anything above 10 guage.
