I'm looking to buy an FD in the coming month or so, and I was just wondering if any of you guys had issues fitting inside. I'm 6'4 and 165lbs. I know I have trouble fitting into a Miata, but this is mainly because the steering column doesn't adjust.

Thanks for the help.

Mike~~

steering column is fixed in a FD also but i think you will fit just don't plan on wearing a helmet or you will need an even lower bucket seat

fd is larger than a miata, but not by much....

Hmm...I don't like that no-helmet idea as I do like to auto-x. What if its a car with out a sunroof...will that allow for enough room?

vosko 05-03-2005 10:39 PM

no sunroof gives you a littlle more room. best bet is try it out........i'm pretty sure though you will need a bucket seat

i'm 6'2" and i fit.. you may get proficient at moving the headliner for autox events to get more headroom. Not sure if that is allowed or not in your class though..

You'll fit in an fd, it's bigger then a miata enough to make it work.

You'll fit. Seat right back, with the back support clicked back 2 or 3 notches.

I'm 6'1" and I fit but with the sunroof in my car It's next to impossible to wear a helmet without kicking the seat way back. It would be a tight fit for you no doubt.

vosko's wrong, not having a sunroof gives you MORE room...

you should fit, im about 6 foot and have plenty of room
