There should be no coolant on the drivers side.

why do you say this?

the TB has coolant going thru it...unless it's been removed (AWS).

I was thinking the same thing; it's probably coming from somewhere else. But also on the driver's side is the heater core hose under the oil filter on the rear housing.

That's the hose that usually breaks down due to oil saturation, this one would be my guess too.

well after my 13 1/2 hour drive that should have taken 9 on the nightmare that was interstate 95 thursday, I have sprung a massive coolant leak. so now that im away from my shop here at my parents at jersey ill take it over to the local service station and see if we cant locate the problem. I was thinking now would be a perfect time to replace the radiator and came across an electric water pump. Im posting a link to the pump and just wanted to gauge everyones opinion before i start making phone calls and spending big cash. thanks

I was just going to add what someone mentioned, remove the drip pan first before you decide where the leak is coming from, then its easier to find.

jeben.... i have that pump for my grey car. It's a lot of work to install one unless you're planning to just use it as an addition to your factory pump... in that case.. whats the point? This isn't really a mod for lightly modded rx7s..

Got it jacked up and the plastic pan off. It looks like it might be leaking from the lower hose, but its too hard to tell right now untill it starts leaking. Saw a small amount of moisture around the hose, but its plenty tight, though could be bent a little from as best as I could tell.

And GTC, I think you were right about the oil coming from the mounts. Looked like both were leaking a little.

The heater core hose to the motor can leak from that shitty plastic connector they use.
