I guess I have a leak in a hose or something. Just noticed a very small puddle of coolant in my garage. The leak is coming from the front left, or drivers side, so its not the overflow tank or anything like that. I have an aluminum AST so no cracks there. Do I check my lines from the AST and other coolant line from the rad to see if its leaking, or is there something else that would vent coolant on that side?

There should be no coolant on the drivers side. Check the radiator for a hairline crack that only leaks when hot. If you have the stock radiator, you should ditch it anyway. They always crack.

 

agree'd my inital guess is the ast nipple on the radiator..

 

Fluidyne radiator too, I'm gona check. Only seems to happen after it sits over night.

 

remove the stock plastic drip pan and warm the car up and let it sit over night again. ANYTHING leaking up front can "puddle" on that pan and drain out where ever is convienent for it. (HINT: most stock suspensioned FDs lean towards the drivers side). Might make it a lil easier to locate the leak

 

You could also pick up some UV dye to put in your coolant, and the kit will come with a UV light. Start your car up and search around with light. Makes coolant/oil leaks impossible to miss.

I was thinking the same thing; it's probably coming from somewhere else. But also on the driver's side is the heater core hose under the oil filter on the rear housing.
