Where to go for full mechanical restoration
#1
OK, So I have some money and an extended warranty, and I want to fully restore my 93 RX-7 mechanically. I don't think there are any major problems, but as I mentioned in another post, it's recently out of storage and idling/starting a little rough (after a recent tune up, too).
Where can I go in the Bay Area for a true expert opinion/analysis on this car, and any fixes I might need? I've been dealing with Mazda Masters, but they seem to be more specialized in minor repair.

K2RD in sacramento may be able to help you out. I'll be moving to the Bay Area in a week, and a friend of mine there may know somebody. I could always take a look at your car when I'm there. I'm sure that it's a simple problem. By the way, are the spark plug wires hooked up to the right spots?

I can't really tell. I really trust the guy who did the tune-up (I've known him for years), but I know he's not an RX-7 expert.
Where are you moving to by the Bay? I live in San Mateo, about 20 miles south of SF on the Peninsula

Aaaahhh.... You're moving to "DC." I lived there from 2000-late 2001. That's only about 12-13 miles away.... Are you going to be formally working on cars here?
I have also joined the Bay Area RX-7 club (www.rx7.org). If you haven't already, you should definitely check it out....
