What year? RZ's are made for several years. Also, you might want to do some research about different type of FDs. They aren't too much different than R1's except for seats and wheels... until recent RZs

you can get one in japan or australia

it will cost you probably between 20-30000 dollars plus a couple grand for shipping here

and add a few more grand to get it legalized in this country

plan on spending 40000 for a rx7 with 30 more hp than your 94

you might as well buy every new oem mazda parts different between yours and an rz which is probably only the seats, steering wheel, gear ratio, and dual oil coolers and rims if you really wantyou could later invest in enought performance mods to take you well over 285 hp with the money you save and not get the twin turbos for the money you save you could go single.

not to change the subject but why did the japan spec cars have 30 more hp than the us ones?? were they built different, no emmissions, more boost or what?? it got my curiousity going. cause I have a jap JDM motor in mine with the ecu and everything and I dont notice much of a power difference from the orginal one i had.. or maybe cause its been in storage for a while and i forgot how it drove lol...

Not all models have 30 more HPs. Only the ones with newer upgraded turbos (well thats slightly misleading.. its not quite upgrade in size).

Also, any FD imported from Japan, AU, UK, etc can not be road legal easily. Most will have to be show/track only car.

try shouri motorsports. links at the top of the page...

and i believe it was 98 and newer FDs that got the "upgraded" turbos and ran slightly more boost to get up to 280hp.
