I'm looking around at 3rd gen RX-7's with the R1 or R2 package. What sort of things should I look for to determine if the car is mechanically sound? Are there noises I should not hear? How should I expect the transmission on a car with somewhat high (80,000-100,000 miles) to feel in terms of play, synchro effectiveness, etc.?
My last car was a 3000GT VR-4, so I know little about these cars or their engines. Any guidelines to follow that anyone knows would help. Thanks, Clint Fralick Struggly@hotmail.com |
Check out this site:
Rob Robinette's site He's got lots of good info on what to look for in a used RX-7. Ryan |
depending on where you are located the best thing to do would be to bring any car you are seriously thinking about to a rx7 specialist to get checked out if possible it could save you $$$$$$$$
