What i have been up to

they are awesome so far, no more leaks at the midpipe. i actually wanted to get copper gaskets but i couldn't find any. i wanted a t4 divided inlet copper gasket and those 2bolt 3inch exhaust gaskets. i'd have to make them myself or get a company to produce them. either way it was too much work
on the diff leak. the seal didn't even seem bad but i changed it anyway. the axle might not have been seated all the way but i figured while i was in there might as well change it for piece of mind
i want to address all the rear end issues but i added it up, real diff plus diff bushings, diff brace, trans brace, etc is alot of money and work right now
next on my to do list is poly motor mounts, both of my stock mounts are ripped and broken

Pretty damn satisfying feeling. Was that initial start-up? I ask because I remember mine smoked enough to hide a battle-ship from all the assembly lube and anti-seize. Fortunately I used old plugs and saved the new ones for afterward.

jwteknix and i built the new engine. one of the cool things i got was the goopy bolts, i plan to drift and clutch kick this car. it will see alot of twisting loads. i still have the one i pulled out to also rebuild as a street ported backup engine just in case...
that was the second then third startups. first startup i had to use two cycle to get it to fire up, as not all the seals were loose yet. my garage looked like it was on fire after the first startup. took about 30 minutes to clear out all the smoke. i am surprised nobody called the police etc
i'm waiting for my new harness to show up, hopefully by Tuesday. the car is running on the original crispy harness right now, just to make sure it actually ran and fix any other issues that came up
i'll post some more videos when the car is off jackstands
