weird speedo action...

ha.
im having a lil problem which i hope u guys can help me with. lately the speedo has begun moving in unison with the tach. so if the car is idleing, the speedo is around the 20 mph mark. if i increase the rpms the speedo raises along with the tach.
it sometimes stops if i rev it high enough or after driving a bit. sometimes it comes back when i come to a stop.
any help will be greatly appreciated.

I've said it before...I avoid electronics like Bin Laden avoided ham sandwiches. But I've heard the solder joints on the board behind the cluster can crack/break over time and cause all kinds of wierd issues. IIRC, it's not hard to fix for guys that are comfortable with a soldering iron.
