well, I'm in the wheaton/lisle area. I don't have any turbo experience but I did just build a new motor for my FC... have most tools needed for working on rotary vehicles... I'd love to find more rotorheads in the area.

I looked into doing a power glide in my car had evey thing ready to go and started measuring and there wasnt enough room with out a little sledge hammer work...............If some one else knows about this fitting let me know me and a chassi builder sized it up without any luck..........Thats what i was going to do right off the bat but started to do research on the mazda tranny and with the major rebuild kit, stall converter, cooling fins on the tranny pan and bigger cooler the rx7 automatic tranny will hold up to alot more horspower than every one thinks...........This tranny is used in alot of different cars from mazda nisan and subaru. o boot subaru has used this tranny in a couple different rally cars that had paddle shifts on the steering wheel.........So in reality there is no reason for a gm tranny or any other type besides the mazda one...........

i agree if you build up the tranny it should be able to handle the power but its not cheap
