Well I decided to take my manifold off today cause my car was running like ****. Figures since it has been running really good all weekend....Anyways. I found out I need a vac hoaw job really badly. Turns out the previous owner only did about 4 hoses Well I found a couple of hoses that weren't connected to anything. (not good)

What is this supposed to be connected to. It is a very bad picture (sorry)

But the little focker is buried under some stuff. According to the Vac diagram it looks like it goes to the chrage relief solenoid. Not sure though.......

And what does the Orange connector go to? A map sensor? Cause it sure wasn't connected to anything Also. What does the silver tipped hose thingy go to? I think it is the check valve but it wasn't hooked up to anything either. What do I do with these things

Oh yeah..Damn that is alot of hoses

Thanks Dave,

I am pointing to a hose that is connected to a little black box. It is about 2 inches long max.

It plus into the box and then I dont know where the other end goes. Also I have all the plugs going into my UIM. But their is an orange plug that doesn't.

I think it goes to a map sensor of somesort but I cant find it. Is it possible that it might have been removed. Here is a picture from his site.

<img src=http://rx7.voodoobox.net/howto/vachose/vacpics/P9290005.JPG> The hose is right above the green bobble and doesn't look

like it is even hooked up on his.(it makes a loop facing me.)

<img src=http://rx7.voodoobox.net/howto/vachose/vacpics/PA030005.JPG> The three hoses sticking up at the top of the picture, Where does the farthest one to

the right go to. (the one withough the bobble.)

correct me if i'm wrong but there should be like 3 plugs connected to the upper intake manifold 2 underneath it and one on the back side (firewall side)... as for that hose that's not hooked up i think that's for the double throttle not 100% sure but yah i think it is... try look at the first solenoid on the rack see if there is a nipple facing upward that doesn't have a hose on it.. i think (solenoid closest to the front of the car)

Look at the vacuum diagram. Its in the shop manual, and also should be on a sticker under the hood. That hose looks like it goes to the top nipple of the first solnoid when looking from the front of the car. Its not the one on top of the rack, but the bottom one. That tank os one of the pressure chambers used to hold pressure to operate the solnoids and actuators.

The silver check valve goes between the purge control solnoid (the on off to the side by itself) and one of the nipples on the front of the intake manifold. Make sure the arrow points towards the manifold.
