The beauty part about doing the v8 swap is you can still maintain the same weight distribution and easily make it lighter. Handling doesn't get effected. You also have a more reliable 400-500hp with more torque. And best of all its about the 3rd the cost of a 20b conversion. So there are some very good benfits from doing the swap. And really the only bad part about the whole thing is giving up the enjoyment of having a rotary with a turbo to play with.

You could always try to fit a TTV8 in there. Doubt it'd fit... But yeah... I'm all about anyone who can turn over a WELL DONE V8 swap. Nothing wrong with that.



It's all about the whole package. FD's are beautiful and the more reliable they are, the more you get to drive them!!



It's like real **** vs. fake ****. Sure the fake ones ruin the origional design... but they sure are ****** nice.

i have mixed feelings.. to me its like taking a mustang and putting a fd shell on it... theres an old saying "you cant make a pig into a race car , but you can sure make a dam fast pig"

I understand the mixed feelings about yanking out the rotary engine, but realize you can't compare it to a mustang either way. The handling and weight of the fd do not change with the v8 in there, and thats with a stock lt1 with all the catalytic crap that weighs a ton. With a few easy modifications you are much lighter, with a few more modifications you are even lighter and hitting into some big horsepower. Its not like your changing the chassis of the car, just the source of power that moves it.
