Urgent: Clutch Question
#1
Ok...So... I'm new to this whole clutch thing. anyways here goes:
The pedal pushes the master cylinder, which pushes the fluid (w/pressure) to the slave cylinder which PUSHES the clutch release fork.
ok the release fork has got me. How can the slave cylinder be mounted on the back of the transmission (well you know what I mean)... and PUSH the release fork???
The way the release fork pivots it doesn't hardly make sense! It would make more sense if it pulled it, cause by pushing it, it seems that the fork would just be pushing the throwout bearing towards the transmission and not towards the clutch pressure plate.
My swap...is stuck at this. It's just too wierd for me to understand or something but if the slave pushes the fork....when does it go towards the pressure plate??
Maybe someone can answer the questions...just don't make me feel like too big of an idiot.
