Tools to fix

1: Can Of Gas

2: Lighter

3: FAST FEET ! ! !

LOL j/k could be a bad intake manifold gasket and when you spray with brake cleaner you are looking for instant changes when sprayed

Hey have you check the throttle cable, it could be stuck, making the car think your on the gas. Always try the easiest stuff 1st .

Map sensor, is located towards the front windshield in the engine bay to the right if your looking from the front end of the car.

if you didnt have this issue prior.... it would be my prime candidate..

retrace your steps and for good measure grab a vacuum hose diagram..

IAC= Idle Air Control...sometimes IACV=Idle Air Control Valve.

MAP sensor= Boost sensor and is mounted on the firewall just aft of the throttle body. Has an electrical plug and a single vacuum hose attached and is usually labeled "Sensor Boost" or somesuch. If this isn't working or the vacuum line is disconnected, usually the car runs even worse than what you've described.
